Shubman Gill –

Called in the squad to be part of New Zealand tour earlier this year, Gill scored 16 runs in two ODIs that Virat Kohli missed. He was later dropped and is yet to make a comeback. Gill has been doing well for India A across formats and his credentials have seen him become a reserve opener in Tests but with Dhawan not confirmed to play ODIs, he might get a recall in ODIs as well.
Gill has scored 2176 runs in 54 List A matches at 46.29. He played a big knock of 143 in the Deodhar Trophy against India A, putting up 2266 runs for the first wicket with Mayank.
