The Caribbean batsman was bought by the franchise for a huge amount of Rs 4.2 Crore but he disappointed. In first four matches, Hetmyer could just manage 15 runs. RCB rung changes after a poor start and Hetmyer sat out for one month.
He returned for Royal Challengers Bangalore’s last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad where he scored 75 off 47 to help his side chase down a target of 176 after early stutters. Despite that, RCB might release him because of the fact that he never came good for the team when it mattered the most. The Caribbean batsman might not also draw much attention from other franchises if released.
