5 areas where team India needs to improve before the second Test match 2

Solve the opening pair woes – This has been the problem for the Indian from past many years especially after the ouster of the opening pair of Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir from the team. We have hardly seen any big opening partnerships after them being axed. On one day one opening partner depart early whereas on the other day the second batsman is the first one to depart. Whatever may be the case but the point we are talking here is the poor opening partnership. In the first test too, team India lost the wicket of Murali Vijay early, this had a major impact on team India’s scoring rate as the team crawled after his dismissal.

It is the responsibility of the opening pair is to lay a strong base so that the successors can cash it but this has not been the case from past few years. The role of openers is to work in tandem for a successful start which they have failed to do. We can expect the problem being fixed soon before the start of the second Test match.
