Sachin Tendulkar – 98 vs Pakistan, 2003 World Cup

Sachin was the highest scorer in the 2003 World Cup. As an opener, he had played a major in leading India to the finals of that tournament. His notable contribution came against Pakistan though he was not able to score the century.
Pakistan with the likes of Saeed Anwar, Rashid Latif in the batting line up, set up a target of 274 runs. It was a tough task for Indian batsmen to chase the target because of the likes of Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram in the bowling line up.
However, Sachin made the work easy for India. He scored magnificent 98 runs off 75 balls. Well, he could not register a hundred, but it was the remarkable contribution that led India to the victory.
