MS Dhoni – 91 not out vs Sri Lanka, 2011 World Cup final
MS Dhoni proved himself as the best finisher of the world after scoring 91 runs in the finals of the 2011 World Cup. India faced Sri Lank in the marquee clash to set up a target of 275 at iconic Wankhede Stadium.
After Sachin and Sehwag lost their wickets, MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir led the game forward. Both of them added 109 runs for the fourth wicket. Unfortunately, Gambhir was bowled, and India still had to score over 50 runs. Dhoni continued his game with Yuvraj Singh and finished off in style. He hit a maximum to led India to lift the title after the wait of 28-years.
