West Indies’s unlikely victory against England

Former English opener Michael Atherton has termed Windies’ victory against England in the 2nd Test at Headingley, Leeds as the biggest upsets in the recent times. It was an exceptional performance by the lowly ranked Windies especially because their performance in away Tests has been horrendous, to say the least. Riding on brilliant centuries by Karaigg Brathwaite and Shai Hope Windies posted 427 on the board in the 1st innings after restricting England to 258 in their 1st innings. It was Shanon Gabriel and Kemar Roach who was the star for the Windies who returned with four wickets each.
England staged a great comeback in the 2nd innings by posting a mammoth 490 in their 2nd innings to set Windies an unlikely victory of 322 in just over 90 overs. It was again a master class by Shai Hope who scored the 2nd century of the match and ensured Windies chased the total down with five wickets in hand.
