Dhoni came up with the idea of not including the three together in the team. Dhoni thought of giving more chances to the younger lot that would prepare them for bigger challenges.
The decision cost India a place in the final of the tri-series. Australia and Sri-Lanka made it to the finals with Australia winning the series. Some former Cricketers slammed the decision and said it was done without any thought process.
