Though not known for his wicket-taking abilities, Russel has always been an important part of the KKR’s bowling line-up in recent years. He is quick and accurate and also has a number of change-up deliveries that keep the batsman honest. He is often on the costly side and has an economy of 8.63 in the three games he has played but he has picked up 5 crucial wickets for his side in those games. His 3/24 against the Delhi Daredevils gave his side the first victory in the tournament and he will hope to keep up his good work and try and get his hands on the Purple Cap come the end of the season.
