Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir finally made his much-anticipated return to Test cricket during Pakistan’s first match against England at Lord’s last week. The left-arm pacer received a ban of five years after being accused of bowling no-balls deliberately at Lord’s in 2010. While his case has garnered a lot of media attention, there were few instances in the past too when cricketers returned to play cricket after receiving bans for fixing.
Here we are presenting to you five players who made a comeback to cricket after getting banned:
5.Ata-ur-Rahman:

The former Pakistani fast bowler was banned for life from the game after he was found guilty of dealing with the bookies during the 2000 scandal that rocked Pakistan cricket. Senior cricketer Salim Malik was banned for life too while Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram and Inzamam-ul-Haq had to pay hefty fines. Rahman’s life ban was, however, overturned in 2007 by ICC but he could play only first-class cricket, mostly at a basic level representing second XIs of English county Derbyshire.
