Sachin Tendulkar: 5 cricketers who inspired fans with their speech 1

The legendary Indian batsman achieved all the batting feats in his 25-year-old cricket career. He made his debut in 1989 as a 16-year-old toddler against arch rival Pakistan. He scored 100 hundreds and has more than thirty thousand internationals runs to his credit. The people of Indian regard him as the God of cricket and the game as the religion.

When he finally bid the game adieu in 2013 he gave an emotional speech at the  Wankhede stadium that made his fan cry. The tear was rolling down from the cheek of the legend itself. Tendulkar paid tribute to his fans, who cheered him at the ground throughout his career. He said, “I have met so many guys who have fasted for me, prayed for me, done so much for me. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, and also say that time has flown by rather quickly, but the memories you have left with me will always be with me forever and ever.”
