Rohit Sharma made his test debut in 2013 against West Indies at Mumbai. He scored back to back centuries in first 2 test matches. His batting in One day Internationals for India has been great with the highest score 264 against Sri Lanka. He is the first batsmen to score two double centuries in One day Internationals.
His credential as test player outside Asia is yet to proven. In 16 test matches he has scored 896 runs at an average of 33.18 with 2 centuries and 4 half centuries. In test matches against England in England, Australia in Australia he struggled to put a decent score.
If given a chance he should go to England and play on pitches which help the fast bowlers which will improve his technique to become a much better batsman in test matches. He needs to stay longer at the crease and convert small score into big ones which help the Indian team to win more matches.
