3. Ishant Sharma
Ishant Sharma has been India’s prime bowler for some time. He made his test debut against Bangladesh in 2007. After Zaheer Khan was facing problems with injuries, he was not able to deliver for India on tours of England twice and Australia twice in four years.
In 68 matches, Ishant Sharma has taken 201 wickets which are not great for a leading fast bowler. He does not bowl consistent line and length. Bowling more and more over’s in county cricket will increase his stamina and speed.
In the previous test series against South Africa in 2015 at home, he did not pick many wickets according to expectations. If Ishant Sharma plays county cricket, then he can improve his action and know the technique to bowl abroad.
He bowled in 2008 test series against Australia in their own den. Since then there has been a decline in his performance. He is not selected in the Indian ODI squad because of inconsistent performance.
Ishant Sharma performance has not been up to mark. In conditions like England, Australia and New Zealand he has performed rare match winning spells like he did in Lords in 2014.
