Ian Botham: 5 great all-rounders who could have played the IPL 2

The greatest sports personality in England in 1980s before  footballers – before Paul Gascoigne and David Beckham emerged in England football Botham dominated the front page of a news headline. He made his debut in 1977 and helped England to win the Ashes with three performance, two with the bat and third with the mystical bowling. He was a tremendous hitter of the ball and his outswinger was dangerous as his batting. But in 1992, his batting performance had become fewer while his outswinger had become less effective. But bowlers used to fear his astound timing and hitting prowess till the hand.

But the flamboyant cricketer was once boycotted by the Brtish media as he inhaled Cannabis in 1986. He was on the verge of breaking Dennis Lillee’s record of highest wickets in Test 355, he did it as he finished with 383 wickets.

With his flamboyant stature and all-around skills, he could easily play the IPL and T20 cricket if he born in late 20 century.
