Kapil Dev: 5 great all-rounders who could have played the IPL 2

Kapil Dev was the greatest ever bowler India ever produced and great ever fast bowling allrounder. He could have been the great ever allrounder in the world if he was not born in the same generation of Imran Khan, Ian Botham, and Richard Hadlee. But, in 2002, his achievement got enough rearward as he was voted as greatest Indian cricketer ahead of Sachin Tendulkar and Ian Botham.

Under his captaincy India won their first ever World Cup which literally changed the dream of India’s young generations who were looking for their idol to follow in personal life. In Kapil Dev, they got it.

Kapil was a marathon runner as he took 431 wickets in Test cricket to surpass New Zealand all-rounder Richard Hadlee. His outswinger blend with accuracy made him a world beater.

His batting was a very helpful in 1983 World Cup when India wee 17 for 5 and was ready to pack the bag Kapil Dev played his best ODI innings playing a 172 run innings that helped India to win the match and march ahead to win the World Cup.
