Yuzvendra Chahal was the pick of the bowlers for India A in the tournament. He picked 7 wickets in 3 matches. In the finals, he bowled a match-winning spell of 4 for 34 which broke the backbone of Australia A batting line up. His ability to fight the ball and make the batsmen play attacking strokes shows he has qualities of becoming a good spinner. He played the 3 ODI and 3 T20 match series against Zimbabwe in 2016. In ODI he picked 6 wickets while in T20 format he picked 3 wickets in the same amount of matches. With lots of busy cricket coming up, he could be in the fray if Ashwin or Jadeja gets injured.
