Team India’s leading wicket-taker across all formats, Anil Kumble has been one of the finest leg-spinners ever to grace the field of cricket. Kumble has had a long animosity with Pakistan batsmen as he clinched all their 10 wickets in an innings of the 1999 Test match that took place in Delhi.

Speaking about his world cup games against Pakistan, Anil Kumble has featured three world cup games against Pakistan so far wherein the leggie has clinched 5 wickets in total. His first appearance came in 1996 when he dismissed Ata-ur-Rahman, Mushtaq Ahmed, and Saleem Malik. Kumble picked two more wickets to help India win another crucial game in the 1999 edition. Kumble couldn’t pick a wicket in the 2003 world cup.
