Shreyas Iyer is 24-years old right-handed batsman, who plays for Mumbai in Domestic. He made his First-class debut in 2014-15 Ranji Trophy while his List A debut also came in the same year in Vijay Hazare Trophy. For his great performances, he was picked by Delhi Capitals in the IPL Auction at Rs. 2.6 cr in 2015. He made his international debut for India in 2017 playing T20I against New Zealand and later he debuted against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

He is known as a middle-order defensive batsman who can attack if needed. In IPL 2018, he was retained by Delhi Capitals and in the middle of the season, he was announced as the new captain of the franchise replacing Gautam Gambhir. Since then he has been leading Delhi Capitals in the IPL. Iyer will highly be considered as future Indian captain soon, as he has experience of leading a team in the best T20 League in the World.
