4. Sunil Gavaskar
Sunil Gavaskar has been one of the greatest batsmen from Indian cricket. He was considered as the best batsman in 1970s-80s in the Test fold. Besides, Gavaskar is fondly known as ‘Little Master’.
Gavaskar had played 108 ODIs for India. In this career, he has scored 3092 runs with an average of 35 in the 50-over format.
However, he has a single century to his name.
Talking about that one century he scored, it came in 1987 against New Zealand. India was chasing a target of 222. Gavaskar and Srikanth were opening for India. They stitched 136 partnership before Srikanth departed; later Mohammad Azharuddin joined Gavaskar and the veteran batsman went on to achieve his maiden ODI Hundred.
Eventually, India won that match by nine wickets.
