2. Dilip Vengsarkar:
Dilip Vengsarkar is a former Indian legendary batsman who was mostly known for his Test records. Along with Gavaskar and Gundappa Vishwanath, he was one of the key players of the Indian batting line-up.
Interestingly, Vengsarkar was also known as ‘Colonel’.
Vengsarkar has played 129 ODIs between 1976 and 1991, in which he scored 3508 runs at an average of 35. He has scored a solitary ton along with 23 half-centuries.
Particularly, his only ton came against England in 1984 when India scored 214 runs in 50 overs, Vengsarkar topped with 105.
In response, England beat India after chasing down the target.
