1) 183 against Sri Lanka in 2005

 

In the third ODI Sri Lanka’s tour of  India at Jaipur Sawai Mansingh  Stadium in Jaipur the visitor winning the toss elected to  bat first. Kumar Sangakkara scored  hundred that shepherds Sri Lanka’s innings and set a target of 298.  While chasing India lost their opener first, so Dhoni was promoted to No. 3. Coming at the crease he started swinging the bat  and [arking Sri Lankan bowlers  in the stands.  His innings ensured India to victory with 23 balls remaining.

The wicketkeeper-batsman scored unbeaten  183 off 145 balls with a strike rate of 126.20. He hit 15  fours and 10 sixes. His score is still the highest individual score by a wicketkeeper in ODI.
