- Delhi Daredevils – 10:
Too many cooks spoil the dish, and in this case, too many captains as well! Delhi Daredevils have had as many as 10 individuals leading the team since the inception of the tournament. That has been the precise reason behind their atrocious numbers as compared to the other teams. Virender Sehwag did a sensational job as the captain in 2008, 2009 as the Daredevils made it to the semis on both occasions.
In 2010, the side was led by Gautam Gambhir and Dinesh Karthik, as Sehwag relinquished the captaincy. That was followed by two poor seasons before Sehwag returned to lead in 2012 and guided the side to play-offs. Since then, there have been several skippers trying to lead the Daredevils and some of the names have been Mahela Jayawardene, Kevin Pietersen, Angelo Mathews, JP Duminy to name a few.
Things looked good in 2016 as Zaheer Khan was named the captain but a string of losses in the last few games saw them missing out the play-offs race just by a margin.
