170 v South Africa in Ahmedabad, 1996:

South Africa’s tour of India in 1996 began with a dismal defeat where they failed to chase down 170 runs. The Proteas bowled out India for just 223 runs in the first innings before scoring 244. In the second innings, South Africa came up with an even better show with the ball as they bowled out India for only 190.
India, however, had the last laugh as they defended the 170-run total with ease in the end. Fast-bowler Javagal Srinath came up with a fiery spell with the ball, taking 6 wickets for just 21 runs to help India bowl out the visitors for only 105 runs and win the game by 64 runs. Anil Kumble also picked up 3 crucial wickets.
