Alvin Kallicharran showcased his strength all around the wicket but he was more powerful at his legs. Anything on the leg side Kalicharan was quick to send the ball to the ropes with his wristy yet sublime flicks.

The left-hander was an influential figure in the 1975 World Cup in England which was won by West Indies. Kallicharran would pull anything that was short of a length. The former captain was equally strong playing square of the wicket. Kallicharran scored 4399 runs in 66 tests with an impressive average of 44.43.
