One of the finest captains Team India ever had, Sourav Ganguly has laid foundations for a team that the future could build on. The team had some of the finest overseas victories under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly which no other team could replicate even the team under MS Dhoni. However, India has never won a test series against any team outside sub-continent under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly. The teams have gone to on to win a test series in England and West Indies under Rahul Dravid and also won a series against New Zealand under MS Dhoni in 2009.
