Indian legend Rahul Dravid has consistently said that this young lad from Kerela is the one to look out for in the future. He shot into limelight with his consistent performances for IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals in 2013. The brilliants performance made him one of the best emerging players and it seemed that a national call-up is around the corner.
But inconsistency has always been his nemesis and he did not get the call. However, an impressive showing for India A in Australia once again catapulted him into the reckoning for India, and he was picked in India’s limited-overs squad for the tour to England in August-September 2014.
With Dhoni in the twilight of his career, Samson can be a good prospect for the wicketkeeper-batsman’s role in the team.
