New Zealander Tim Southee has not so successful season in IPL. However, he has been the part of two winning squads. Chennai Super Kings signed the Kiwi pacer in the 2011 IPL Auction and gave him 5 opportunities to prove himself in the fourth season. He could not pick many wickets but the yellow army won in that season.

He was dropped from the team in the very next season. He joined Mumbai Indians in 2016 after a brief stint with Rajasthan Royals. In 2016, he played the most number of matches in IPL history. Southee picked nine wickets in 11 matches.

The New Zealander won his second IPL championship with the Mumbai-based franchise one year later. But he didn’t contribute much in the victory and was released ahead of IPL 2018.
