Rangana Herath (Sri Lanka):
The wily left-arm spinner from the land of spinners, Sri Lanka, Rangana Herath is the oldest cricketer in the current Sri Lankan test squad.
Playing alongside the likes of Muttiah Muralitharan and Sanath Jayasuriya, Herath is one of the few orthodox spinners left in the world of cricket. He developed his own form of the ‘doosra’ and has been proved hard to play even for the best batsmen of the current generation. He is a 9-down bat and hardly ever scored runs but in the last few years, he has taken the role of a wicket taking spinner in the Sri Lankan side.
Though he is 38 now, Herath has shown that he has learned more and more with more games he has played and is currently an important part of the Sri Lankan test squad.
