Chris Gayle (West Indies):

It is easy to forget Gayle’s name in this list as none of what he does on the field show that he is any older than 30.

The Jamaican hard hitter is currently 36 years of age and arguably the best batsmen ever in the T20 format. However, he was more than a handful in test career scoring 13 centuries at an average of 42.18. He is one of the hardest hitters of the ball and has his unique style that he has adjusted over the years. At the moment, Gayle hardly takes a run and believes in taking 6 of them when on offer.

He has been the pride of the West Indies side in most ICC tournaments and not finding a place in the international team has got him to think about retirement. If he goes, it will be a huge loss to the sport.
