Faiz Fazal
In 2016, the opening batsman from Vidarbha, Faiz Fazal has made his debut for India in an ODI game against Zimbabwe. The southpaw scored an unbeaten 55 but has not got any chance since then.
Fazal has played 117 first-class matches amassing 7888 runs with 36 half-centuries and 19 centuries at an average of 44.51. He has also played 87 List A matches with 129 being the highest score.
The opener has been one of the significant factors for Vidarbha’s recent success in the Ranji Trophy. He has scored runs consistently at the top to lead the batting unit. Fazal will relish the opportunity to make his Test debut at home against SouthAfrica.
