The young batsman from Punjab has been a household name in India after his consistent show in the domestic circuit. He can be a good choice for an opener in the Indian cricket team. Many people compare Shubman Gill with Virat Kohli.
The right-handed batsman has played two ODIs for India but failed to utilise them. The 19-year-old can be given a chance in Test Cricket to evolve himself and it will be a good start for the player.
So far, Gill has played 13 first-class games and scored 1348 runs with four centuries and seven fifties at an average of 76.28. He recently scored an unbeaten double century against WestIndies A which shows his quality as a Test batsman.
