Kohli has led India in the past in Dhoni’s absence and already has two whitewash victories to his name. Now however, his acid test as a leader is bound to arrive as England will surely give Kohli’s team a run for its money. More than anything else, the responsibility of leading India, in all forms of the game, could instill some confidence in Kohli.
It is a known fact that the run machine thrives with added responsibility and his stats in Test matches second that assertion. Captaincy could well be the best thing to have happened to Kohli, and the upcoming series will be a hypothetical test of that statement.
