- England remains a dangerous ODI outfit:
England did last year what New Zealand, South Africa, India and Pakistan couldn’t – defeat Bangladesh in Bangladesh in an ODI series. Despite defeating a low ranked team, that series win will offer the visitors a lot of confidence, as their overall record in Asia has been dismal to say the least. The scoreline of England’s recent ODI series in India are as follows – 2-3, 0-5, 0-5, 1-5. Eoin Morgan will be restless to break this dismal trend for England and his current outfit is more than capable of doing so. In Jason Roy and Alex Hales, they probably have the most devastating opening pair in recent times. To add to that, the consistency of Joe Root and the brute force of Jos Butttler at the end, England is bound to keep the hosts on its toes.
A few question marks remain over England’s capabilities with the ball, but their destructive batting more than makes up in that aspect.
