4. Parvez Rasool:
The off-spinner from Jammu and Kashmir hogged the limelight in 2012-13 Ranji Trophy season when he finished the tournament as Jammu and Kashmir’s top scorer and highest wicket-taker. In his seven Ranji matches, the all-rounder scored 594 runs at 54 with two centuries, and took 33 wickets at 18.09. There has been no looking back for him ever since then as he entered the history books when he became the first player from his state to don the Indian jersey in 2014.
Although, he has not played for the Indian team since then, his recent performances will compel the selectors to consider him for a place in the team. The off-spinner has picked up 38 wickets in nine matches in Ranji Trophy (this season) at an impressive average of 23.86.
