1) Highest run-getter for Delhi in 2015-16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy
The 23-year old Nitish Rana hit 299 runs, including 21 sixes, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2015-16. His exceptional performance at the domestic circuit helped Delhi reach the semi-final of the tournament. Out of his total tally of 21 sixes, eight were seen in his terrific innings of 97 from 40 deliveries against Andhra.
Gautam Gambhir, who was the then Delhi skipper, was impressed with the young lad’s performance and kept backing him in all the other domestic tournaments.
