Every cricket fan would be surprised to know that Nitish Rana was first recognised for his fielding efforts than batting when he made his first-class debut. He was picked up by Delhi in 2012-13 as a limited-overs player but made his first-class Ranji Trophy debut in 2015-16.
In the match against Vidarbha in 2015-16, the Delhi boy ran out Wasim Jaffer off the very first ball of the match. He also went on to score 61 in the first innings of the same match. The young lad did not stop here and became the star of the season by scoring the highest 557 runs at an average of 50.63, including three fifties and a century.
