Sachin played for Pakistan before

cricket sachin tendulkar

Can you imagine World’s greatest batsman ‘Sachin Tendulkar’ played for Pakistan before? This actually happened! In 1987, Tendulkar came on the field as a substitute fielder for Pakistan. At that time, master didn’t make his international debut but got a chance to field for Pakistan. The fielding side’s greats Javed Miandad and Abdul Qadir left the field at lunch time and Tendulkar was asked to field by Imran Khan. It was a practice match between India and Pakistan at Brabourne Stadium. The Master Blaster was standing at long-on and soon Kapil Dev hit a skier in his direction. Despite running 15 metres to mid-on, Tendulkar could not reach the ball.

Who would have thought that this young indian will rule the game of cricket in the coming years! The Master has also recount this incident in his book, ‘Playing It My Way.’ He has written, “I don’t know whether Imran Khan remember this or has any idea that I once fielded for his Pakistan team.”
