However, the man from Najafgarh made it possible while he was batting on 295 on a Multan turf. He hit a huge six to Saqlain Mushtaq over deep mid-wicket to complete his triple century. In the same match, Virender Sehwag became the 1st Indian to hit a triple ton.
He played his cricket with a fearless attitude that led Indian to a victory for the first time in Pakistan. He told much later that Sachin was against his decision of hitting a six when batting on 295 but the Sultan of Multan went against his role model’s decision to create history.
