6. Navjot Singh Sidhu – Stabbing An Umpire
Navjot Singh Sidhu was always was a carefree batsman outside the field. But he was just opposite when he was in the field and playing.
Matches between the two arch-rivals India and Pakistan are always intense and there is a lot of banter between the players of the two sides. And in one such incident, a rumour was that Navjot Singh stabbed umpire while fighting Pakistan players.
In 1996, when India and Pakistan locked horns, the sledging between Sidhu and Pakistan players heated up. Aamir Sohail from gully region whispered something, which didn’t go well with Sidhu. The Indian cricketer, raising his bat, he went marching towards Aamir Sohail in the gully region and threatened him.
Later, someone advertised the news saying that Sidhu stabbed umpire during the quarrel, which is completely false.
