5. Vijay Shankar:

Another interesting name on the list would be Vijay Shankar. Out of nowhere, he made it to the scheme of things for the grand event. In absence of Hardik Pandya, Shankar made a name of his own by knocking runs at crucial times for India.
The knocks he played in New Zealand and Australia helped him to gain the trust of the Indian management. However, his bowling has been a worry, as he isn’t up to the mark. He also failed to grab the chance in the final ODI of the series.
It would be an interesting choice from selectors. If selectors feel that he is useful for the team as a floater than probably he would get a ticket to the World Cup. He got good chances but yet an uncertain player, as a lot of players pressing their case.
