The 80-year-old umpire John Williams has died after being hit by a ball while umpiring a local cricket match in Wales. A spokesman for Pembroke County Cricket Club informed earlier this morning.
The official in the match informed that Mr Williams was not appointed earlier for the duty but it was a last-minute change in the game. Unfortunately, Williams was brought into the game and destiny has written something else for him.
He was immediately taken to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, 100 miles away from the place of the incident. Williams went in a coma after being hit by the ball in the head. On Friday morning, he was declared dead by doctors.

“Sad news this morning regarding umpire John Williams. John passed away this morning with his family at his bedside. Thoughts of all of Pembrokeshire are with Hilary and the boys at this difficult and sad time,”
It is sad when these incidents took place in the cricket ground. Cricket is the game which entertains everyone but when such an incident takes place it makes woeful.
In recent times, we have seen some of the most unfortunate moments where some cricketers died after the ball struck on their heads. The Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes was injured during batting in the field. A ball struck his head and he became unconscious. He was admitted to the hospital but died after two days. Such incidents disturb everyone.
