The eighth edition of the Indian Premier League is all set to witness its final two league matches today and both of them will decide the qualification of the four teams who will progress to the play-offs. Following is the list of the nine scenarios out of which one will surely take place:
Final two matches are:
1. RCB vs DD at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium (16:00 IST)
2. SRH vs MI at Uppal (20:00 IST)
–> RCB and SRH win:
Result: KKR will be knocked out and the Top 4 (in order) will be:
Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad
–> RCB and MI win:
Top 4 will be: Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians
–> RCB win, and SRH-MI is a washout
Result: Both SRH and MI will get knocked out from the tournament because of a less NRR as compared to KKR
Top 4 will be: Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders
–> DD and SRH win:
Result: SRH will finish second because of more number of wins than RR
Top 4 will be: Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore
–> DD and MI win:
