Aakash Chopra: AB De Villiers Is At No.6 As He Won Most Matches Single-Handedly
He did the exercise of picking batsmen on his YouTube channel and started with AB de Villiers who is known for his range of shots and can hit all over the ground for the sixth position. He pointed out that Proteas player has been one constant man behind the success of RCB this year.
AB De Villiers played a great role to play in RCB qualifying for playoffs. He contributed with 454 runs averaging 45.4. The commentator said AB De Villiers was given a top fight by Virat Kohli and Mayank Agarwal for this slot, but he chose to go with the South African.
“At No.6, I was considering Mayank Agarwal and Virat Kohli, but I am going with AB de Villiers. Some people have also questioned what sort of genius he is when he cannot win the tournament. But that is not his job. He has won the most ‘Man of the Matches’ for RCB since 2018, most Man of the Matches this year, and won the most matches single-handedly,” he said in his video.
He chose to go with class batsman Suryakumar Yadav who scored 480 runs averaging 40 for the 5th position. His absence in the Indian squad for the Australia tour surprised many and is being questioned by all the experts around the world globally, and many cricket experts have praised him.
Aakash Chopra decided to go with power hitter Ishan Kishan for his 4th slot. His big shots, despite his height, impressed the commentator a lot as he picked the batsman with maximum sixes in IPL 2020- a staggering 30 next. The left-hander scored 516 runs averaging 57.33.

David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul are the top three batsmen in leading the run-scorers list. But the list does not include Virat Kohli who scored 466 runs or Shreyas Iyer, who scored 519 runs.
