India’s recent run in ODI’s has been a little surprising, to say the least. In several games, the men in blue have looked utterly dominant and beaten the best of the teams around. In the lead up to their 2017 ICC Champions Trophy campaign, the Virat Kohli-led side bulldozed New Zealand and Bangladesh in the two warm-up games and were the clear favourites to defend their title.

However, after thrashing Pakistan at Birmingham, India faced a shocking defeat to Sri Lanka at the Oval, which made India’s campaign a do or die game against South Africa. The Proteas were easily beaten but it was the finals against Pakistan, that India got a reality check, as the men in green were all over India.

Now again, India lost to West Indies at Antigua, bringing some more humiliation. Highlighting India’s recent losses, former Indian Test opener and commentator Aakash Chopra pointed out that the side’s previous losses have come against the 7th, 8th and 9th ranked teams.

“Woke up to realise that India lost to WI. Pinched myself. So, India’s last three ODI losses are to teams ranked 9th WI, 8th Pak & 7th SL,” he tweeted.

Sensing this, a Pakistani fan thought about mocking India and apparently called the team, “Lions at home”. That was met with a ferocious response from Chopra, who said that teams (Pakistan) that can’t even play at home shouldn’t tell such a thing.

The fan then went on to drag the political aspects of India and Pakistan’s turmoil to which Chopra had another deadly reply. Check out the tweets below, to see what Aakash Chopra tweeted and gave a fitting reply to the Pakistani.
