Australian batsmen Aaron Finch and Usman Khawaja married their respective partners on Sunday (April 8). With a short break in hand, the duo decided to tie the knot.
However, we must keep this in fact that the Aussies had a pretty tough time in the recently culminated South African tour.
The Aussies had a relatively tough time and lost the series by a 3-1 margin.
Besides that captain Steve Smith, vice-captain David Warner and opening batsman Cameron Bancroft were banned for a year and nine months respectively following the sandpaper gate incident.
However, the marriage ceremony of these two players must give the Aussies something to rejoice.
Finch, who had planned his wedding this season missed the season opener of his franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He celebrated his wedding at a beautiful venue in Victoria.
Finch will play for the Mohali-based outfit Kings XI Punjab after being bought at the price of INR 6.2 crore.
Glenn Maxwell has also missed the opener against Delhi Daredevils. At the end of the first-half in the second match of the tournament, Daredevils have posted a competitive total of 166 for seven in their allotted 20 overs.
Skipper Gambhir top-scored with 55 of 42 deliveries. He constructed his innings nicely and it was some lusty blows by Rishabh Pant and Chris Morris which propelled them to a score of 166.
Moreover, the players who attended Finch’s wedding included Mitchell Marsh, Geroge Bailey, John Hastings.
In addition, Peter Siddle, James Faulkner, and New Zealand opener Martin Guptill graced the ceremony.
Meanwhile Australia’s other Test batsman Usman Khawaja also got hitched in a private ceremony. The pictures weren’t shared by the couple yet.
All-rounder Ben Cutting, Matt Renshaw, and Michael Nesser were among the cricketers who attended the close-knit ceremony.
