In October 2015, during the fifth ODI against India at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, AB de Villiers as a skipper, stepped up once again and blasted a 61-ball 119. His innings included 11 sixes and three boundaries at the staggering strike-rate of 195.08.

Batting first, the visitors, led by Faf du Plessis’ (133 off 115) also racked up the century alongside the southpaw Quinton de Kock (109 off 87), as the Proteas posted mammoth 438 on board which saw India bundling out for 224 in 36 overs.
