Former Australian legendary wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist has praised Virat Kohli for putting his weight behind Test cricket. Kohli had cherished the job satisfaction after doing well in the red ball version of the game.
In fact, there is no doubt the longest format of the game is the most beautiful version of the game. It tests the many aspects of a player. It tests the focus, patience, temperament, mental strength, determination, basics and the resistance of a particular player. Consequently, it is Test cricket.

Virat Kohli had put his weight behind the best form of the game.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli had said Test cricket is his favorite form after India’s loss in the first Test match at Edgbaston. Furthermore, Kohli is hopeful the Test championship will bring a new ray of hope to the longest format.
“I think that if you really understand the sport, if you really love the sport, you understand Test cricket and you understand how exciting it is,” Kohli told Wisden Cricket Monthly. “I cannot explain to you the job satisfaction that you get when you do well in Test cricket, because you know how demanding it is.
“It’s the most beautiful format of the game. I don’t think it’s going to go anywhere. I don’t even see it getting compressed to four days. It should not be tinkered with,” added Kohli.

Thus, Adam Gilchrist is happy to hear what the current best batsman in the world is saying about red ball version. Kohli is putting his weight behind the pristine form of the game and Gilchrist is happy to note it.
Adam Gilchrist wrote on his Instagram account. Gilchrist wrote, “Pleasing remarks from @virat.kohli Really, really pleasing remarks. Currently, one of the most important opinions in the game and I like what he’s saying.”
