Adam Zampa, Australia’s leg-spinner wants to fulfil his baggy green dream. He is now with the ODI team in West Indies for tri-series. The 24 years old Aussie is confident and ready for the opportunity when the Test call comes.
“If I keep improving the way I think I’ve been improving, it’s definitely something that I think is on the cards. Nathan (Lyon) is doing a great job at the moment and I’m very happy where I am playing Twenty20 cricket and one-day cricket. I just want to keep improving and hopefully if that opportunity does arrive, I’ll definitely be ready for it.” Zampa said.
“In terms of making it to the next level in that format, I want to keep improving my bowling. I think if I look at myself 12 months ago, 18 months ago, or 24 months ago, I think I’m ten times a better bowler than I was then,” he added.
Zampa will also play for Guyana Amazon Warriors in the forthcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL). he is very excited to be a part of it. “I think the CPL is really improving as a competition, there’s some pretty good international stars. I’m not the kind of guy who likes to be stuck indoors or running around a park.” Zampa told.
The 24-year old who has often been compared to one of Australia’s greatest spinners Shane Warne, because of his bowling action and immense self-belief.
