Today was the 18th match of the Big Bash League 2014-15. Perth Scorchers started the match today. Initially Perth Scorchers was having a bad as their top order batsmen were unable to score runs. Then came Adam Voges who heroically saved Perth Scorchers. Adelaide Strikers succumbed as their batsmen were unable to score runs and kept losing wickets. They lost all the wickets for 115 runs and lost the match. Here are the Hits and Flops of the match.

Hits of the Day

1. Adam Voges

The skipper, Adam Voges, of Perth Scorchers showed some excellent showcase of performances. He scored a half-century and led his team. While his teammates failed he succeeded. He was a major part in the win of his team. His 54 run came from 36 balls with a strike rate of 150. He hit 6 fours.

2. Adam Zampa

Adam Zampa was very successful from the Adelaide Strikers. He took 2 wickets from 4 overs and gave only 26 runs with an economy of 6.5. He broke the partnership which was starting to flourish.

3. Brad Hogg

Brad Hogg was the most successful bowler today. No one was match for him. He ruled above all and dominated. He picked up 2 wickets from 4 overs and gave very low runs. He gave 11 runs with an economy of 2.8.

4. Andrew Tye

Andrew Tye was another great bowler today. He too picked up 2 wickets and gave very low runs. In his 4 overs he gave only 20 runs with an economy of 5.

Flops of the Day                    

1. Marcus Harris

Marcus Harris was the opening batsman of Perth Scorchers. We had expectations from him but he proved to be a flop today. He scored only 9 runs. He was not much helpful.

2. Michael Carberry

Michael Carberry too suffered. He was disappointing with the bat and was not able to lead his team in a difficult time. He scored only 11 runs. He must work hard to get in good form.

3. Jonathon Dean

Jonathon Dean was unable to carry his team forward when the top order failed. He was dismissed for 13 runs in the 11th over by Andrew Tye.

4. Travis Head

Travis Head too struggled with the bat. He was dismissed by the best bowler, Brad Hogg, in the 12th over and scored only 14 runs.
