ToggleAfghanistan vs Ireland 2019: 2nd ODI, Dehradun- Match Preview; The brilliant show from Afghanistan continued in ODI format as well. After the sensational effort in T20I series, they continued their dominance on Ireland in the ODI format as well. Meanwhile, Ireland wants to take an act of revenge against Afghanistan by making a comeback in the 2nd ODI.
Afghanistan would like to cash-in the momentum:
The hosts have been pretty decent in all sections of the game. They got the batting lineup that can deal any kind of bowling attack while the bowling section got world-class players. Mujeeb Zadran, Rashid Khan have always been exceptional while the fast bowlers also joining the party of late.

No changes are expected of the Afghanistan side that played in the first ODI. In Mohammad Shahzad and Hazratullah Zazai, they have one of the most dynamic opening pairs. The likes of Naib and Nabi can give the much-required stability in the middle-order.
Ireland looks to level the series:
Ireland batsmen once again faltered to deal with the Afghanistan bowling department. They have got no answers to tackle Mujeeb Zadran, who rattled their defence with ease. The talented players in the circuit Kevin O’Brien and Andrew Balbirnie alongside the skipper William Porterfield failed to pick Afghanistan bowlers.

However, Paul Stirling’s form is a positive thing for the Irish side, who batted brilliantly on the other night. George Dockrell was the other, who showed great maturity with the bat and ball. The bowling unit looks settled with Boyd Rankin in good wicket-taking form to give his team a good chance of upsetting the hosts.

Pitch Conditions:
The new stadium in Dehradun has been brilliant for both the batsman and bowlers. The Wicket will give enough purchase for the bowler and also value for the strokes for batsman.
Weather Report:
Not so good news by the weather forecast. Rain is on the cards, which might affect the game. A rain-curtailed game looks obvious.
Match Prediction:
Once again Afghanistan will be the favourites to win the game. They have done exceptionally in the first ODI game and would like to repeat the show. On the other hand, Ireland has got a lot of things to do in order to make things fall in place. Hopefully, a thriller game is at the store.
