Afghanistan‘s spin troika of Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Mujeeb Ur Rahman have made significant gains in the ICC T20I Player Rankings released on Friday.
The trio played integral roles in Afghanistan’s 3-0 win over Bangladesh.

Rashid, who bagged the Man of the Match awards in the first two games, strengthened his place at the top of the rankings. The leg-spinner ended the series with 11 wickets and gained 54 points to finish with 813 points.
Rashid now leads second-placed Shadab Khan by 80 points. During the series, Rashid had also touched a career-high rating of 816 points after a four-wicket haul in the second match.

Nabi, on the other hand, finished the series with four wickets. He gained 11 spots and reached a career-best eighth rank. 17-year old Mujeeb jumped 62 slots to 51st place.
In the batting department, Afghanistan all-rounder, Samiullah Shenwari, who top-scored in the series with 118 runs, has gained 11 spots to reach 44th position.
From Bangladesh, Mahmudullah (up four places to 33rd) and Mushfiqur Rahim (up three places to 41st) moved up.
The rankings also took into account the T20I between the Windies and the ICC World XI played at Lord’s on 31 May. Windies’ Evin Lewis, who scored a fifty, moved up one place to fifth while his compatriot Kesrick Williams jumped five spots to 41st among bowlers.
As far as the team rankings are concerned, there is no change. Despite the 3-0 result, Afghanistan and Bangladesh retaining their eighth and 10th positions, respectively. Afghanistan though have gained four points to reach 91 points while Bangladesh have lost five and are on 70. Bangladesh now leads Scotland by just four points. The European country can overtake the Tigers in an upcoming two-match series against top-ranked Pakistan on 12 and 13 June.
